12.29.08  |  Portraits

i really enjoyed this family session. it was laid back with the simple idea of just photographing how they usually spend their mornings together as a family. it was a great idea... because often it is the everyday things that mean the most.

here are a few of my favorites.

i am so excited to share the article that i was asked to be part of for brides local magazine. vendors around the country were asked what little tips we could give to our clients that would help them have even better images. i think that all the advice is great. mine is on the second page and it features a first dance image from suzanne & josh's wedding.

brides chicago is the first to hit the stands (i included the two covers below the article) and the philadelphia version will be out on 1.20.09

12.29.08  |  Engagements

jen had a great idea of shooting at terrain at home. i had never been there before - so i was like a kid in a candy store with all of the great old doors and interesting finds on the property... here are a few of my favorites!

jenna's maid of honor wiped away a few tears as she gave the speech to a room of about 200 guests. she told everyone that jenna's personality was contagious. i was nodding my head as she spoke because i knew that to be true. jenna is beautiful inside and out and kody only helps that shine even more.

but i am getting ahead of myself. i must start at the beginning.

the flowers were done by the paisley peacock

stephanie did a beautiful job with everyone's hair

jenna found the snowflake pin at a local vintage shop and her earrings were a christmas gift from kody

the fabulous shennon kayal did everyone's makeup

im pretty sure this baby thought i was funny :)

they were married at lehigh chapel...

we snuck out after the ceremony and walked around campus. the fog was beautiful.

they met at tally ho... a local restaurant on the south side of bethlehem.. so we stopped there for a few photos.

kody & jenna... thank you so much for letting me be part of your day. it was beautiful!

here is the slideshow. i used their first dance song... "lucky" by jason mraz and colbie caillat.
